Hundred words Story

Yesterday evening at Perth, sat a group of multi-ethnic budding writers (one has already published a novel), and each had a task to write a drabble (100 words story excluding title) in 10 to 15 minutes. Quite an experience, and here is 100 words that I wrote.

 Hundred words Story

 Hundred I thought, Just hundred. If I get a hundred bill, I pay my bill. If I score hundred runs, I have a century. If I write hundred words, I have my story. But hundred is a lot, it is lot to toil. To live hundred years, one has to live many centuries. I have a small story, like a snail at the beach, traversing few spread sands particles is enough for it to complete the life journey. So this is my story not a hundred words, few words.

 Waked up, amazed, lost and happy, looking for the next story.

تحریر: عاطف ملک صبح کے دس   بج رہےتھے۔ میں   دفتری انتظار گاہ میں بیٹھا ، اخبارپلٹ رہا تھا۔   ایک دفتری داخل ہوا اور بتایا کہ اب آپ کی باری ہے،   آپ   میٹنگ روم میں تشریف لے جائیں، دائیں طرف تیسرا کمرہ   ہے۔ برآمدے میں مختلف دروازے تھے ، جن کے باہر ان دفاتر   کے عہدیداروں کے نام نہ تھے بلکہ عُہدوں   کے نام تھے۔ اُس برآمدے میں فرد کچھ نہ تھا، منصب کی   اہمیت تھی۔  تیسرے دروازے   کے باہر دیوار پر میٹنگ روم کی لگی تختی اپنی جگہ پر ہلکی   ٹیڑھی     تھی۔میں نے دروازہ کھولا اور سلیوٹ کے لیے دایاں ہاتھ بلند کیا۔ یہ سلیوٹ بھی اُس برآمدے میں لگی عہدوں کے تختیوں   کی مانند مرتبے کو تھا، فرد   اس جہاں میں کچھ نہ تھا۔   کمرے کے درمیان میں ایک بڑا بیضوی میز تھا۔ میز کے لمبائی رخ پر   دوسری جانب فضائیہ کے تین افسر بیٹھے تھے۔ درمیان میں   بھاری بھرکم ،سرخ وسپید ، کلین شیو   گروپ   کیپٹن   بیٹھا تھا، جس کے یونیفارم پر لگے پائلٹ کے پر کا نشان سرخ تھا، یہ   رنگ اُس کے ہوابازی کے گھنٹ...
